Better Buzz Coffee us growing!

 

We have created a new position to support our growth.  We seek an energetic and self-motivated Local Store Marketing Coordinator to help drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and sales growth for Better Buzz Coffee. This role is highly field-focused, working directly with store teams to implement local marketing strategies, build community partnerships, and support new store openings. The ideal candidate will also assist with social media content creation and have a passion for connecting with people.

 

This position is based in San Diego, CA.  This is an in office position with lots of travel.  Our candidate will travel frequently, including overnight stays, to store locations throughout California and other states as needed.  This position will require nighttime and weekend work to support the various events and our ever changing event calendar.  This position reports to our Vice President of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Field Marketing Support: Work hands-on at store locations to execute local marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase sales.
  • New Store Openings: Support pre-and post-opening sales efforts for new store locations by building local awareness, fostering relationships with nearby businesses, schools, and promoting grand opening events.
  • Community Engagement: Develop partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to increase store traffic and visibility. Represent Buzz at local events.
  • Social Media Content: Capture content to highlight new store openings, promotions, events and guest experiences.
  • Guest Engagement: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring guests are aware of promotions, loyalty program, and special offerings.
  • Marketing Materials Coordination: Assist with proofreading, printing and distributing marketing materials to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Guest Inquiries & Support: Assist in responding to guest inquiries ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Insights: Provide feedback on marketing efforts, track campaign performance, and identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred.  Work experience may be a substitute for secondary education.
  • Experience in a high-growth, multi-location business within the food services or hospitality industry a plus.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, or community outreach (preferably in the food & beverage or hospitality industry).
  • Prior experience in the coffee industry and Better Buzz brand knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with social media content creation is preferred.
  • Passion for coffee and engaging with people.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between store locations.
  • Must be available to work weekends
